Don’t you just love a bubble blowing activity that only requires stuff that’s likely already in your house? I know I do, so I had to share this with you all here. This is a great little bubble activity that my daughter had so much fun with! She’s asked to do bottle bubbles multiple times since we photographed this first one, so I know it’s a winner!
Plus, it’s so simple that she can do it herself at her age (11), but if she were little and wanted to make bottle bubbles it would only take me a couple of minutes to set her up with it. It’s for sure an outdoor activity, though, so if you’re heading into the garden this could be a great activity for the little ones while you pull some weeds or do the lawn.

What you’ll need:
• Plastic bottle, water or soft-drink, etc, cut down to the first third of the bottle
• Wet wipe or make-up wipe, rinsed well under the tap
• Elastic band
• Bowl that bottle can fit in, with a mixture of dishwashing liquid and small amount of water, or regular bubble mix if you have it
What to do:

Step 1. Place the wet wipe over the cut end of the bottle and use the elastic band to secure it.
You could use a hair tie if you don’t have any elastic bands handy. The ends of our wet wipe got in the way a bit so you could trim them if you like but we didn’t bother.

Step 2: Remove the cap to the bottle, and let your little one dip the wet wipe end into your bubble mixture, then have them blow through the bottle top.
I didn’t tell my daughter what would happen, so she was very surprised and excited by the beam of bubbles that issued from the wet wipe!

These bubbles are shockingly solid and stable, so when they fell off the wipe they would land on the grass and then she had a blast stomping through them!

As I said, my daughter has repeatedly had a blast playing with these bottle bubbles and can set the whole thing up herself, now. It’s such an easy-to-set-up and clean-up activity that’s sure to always be a winner, so I do hope you give bottle bubbles a go!
