The weather outside is frightful, but the craft-room is so delightful, since we’ve got time to sew, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Well, I wish it were snowing, here in Australia there’s the looming threat of an unrelenting melt-you-into-a-puddle Summer. What a good time to stay in-doors and sew! Or waffle around on the internet getting expert tips on what to buy for the crafty person in your life!
I’ve put together a list of things that would delight any crafter, across a broad price range to ensure there’s something to suit a variety of budgets. Now, in no particular order, here are the gifts I personally recommend this Christmas.
Whilst this mug is billed as ‘Sewing Mouse – Vintage Art’ it’s actually the cover art to Beatrix Potter’s The Tailor of Gloucester. I adore Beatrix Potter and The Tailor of Gloucester is one of my favourites as it probably is with most who know their way ’round a needle and thread – or should I say raspberry twist?
Well this is very pretty, no? I have seen many a sewing machine necklace, but what I like about this one is the sleekness of it, and, whilst I usually am all for that which is vintage, I rather appreciate the modern feel to this.
This is listed as a Christmas tree ornament, but I think it would look lovely hanging anytime of year in a crafty person’s sewing space! It’s always nice to add those touches of on-theme flair to a room.
Ooo, this has everything you need to make an absolutely beautiful wall hanging quilt that even lights up! It’s optional, you don’t have to include the LED lights in your quilt but I certainly would. Maybe it could even be a lovely night-light for a small child?
One-hundred-and-one five-inch squares of Kona Cotton, with no two the same colour!? Yes please! This would make a wonderful gift for the quilter in your life or someone looking to get into quilting.
Christmas fat quarter bundles are such a lovely thing to receive as presents or to use as beautiful and reusable gift wrapping! This set is delightfully cute with a dash of retro, which I think makes this bundle a little extra special.
Oh my goodness I love this book! I got my copy about a week ago and I’ve used so many of the patterns already to make decorations for my tree and a beautiful garland too. It would be a perfect gift for any crafter!
Ohhh, isn’t it so pretty! It’s so cute! I want it! If I weren’t decorating my tree this year with entirely hand-made decorations this would for sure have pride of place on my tree. No doubt.
Buttons! So MANY buttons! Buttons are such a good thing to have an abundance of in your stash, so packs like this one make great gifts. Seriously, gift this to the crafter in your life and watch the joy on their faces.
This is just such a perfect Christmas gift. It’s that meeting point of thoughtful, useful, and visually appealing. I love these clips and use them all the time when sewing delicate fabrics. Love them!
If these shears were… gosh I really don’t know about cars… If these shears were a sword they’d be the Elvin forged Andúril. They’re oh so goooood and are my husband’s gift to me this year! They’re a dream to cut with!
I think this is just the most darling pin – a pretty depiction of what it can be like as a crafter, with the perpetual crafty thoughts and ideas just exploding out of your brain in a delightful cavalcade of possibilities! A very nice gift for any crafter indeed.

This is a keychain, and would be great for that, but would also make a lovely bag charm! I think I’m going to have to get one, but which colour? It would for sure be a big hit with any crafter.
I must have these. I don’t usually wear studs but I must, I need these! They’re so cute and pretty and would suit any crafter! I just love subtle wearables that relate to the things I love, and these fit the bill perfectly! They’re a perfect Christmas gift.
This machine is so highly recommended, has been a top seller for over a decade now, that I have to make it my top sewing machine recommendation for Christmas. It’s just such a good workhorse of a machine that can do it all!
Now hopefully all the stress of finding the right gift for the crafter in your life is gone, but now the stress of not spending like a maniac and getting them all the things!
